• Require training to become a DSA approved driving Instructor (ADI’s).
• Potential driving Instructors who require ‘top-up’ training (PDI’s).
• Existing (ADI’s) who require a pre-check test assessment/training.
If you are considering a change of career to become a DSA approved driving Instructor, we can help you achieve your goal.
The ADI qualifying process consists of passing 3 exams. These are….
• Part 1 - theory + hazard perception test
• Part 2 - driving ability test
• Part 3 - Instructional ability test
Once all these exams have been passed, you can then apply to be entered on to the register of approved driving instructors.

Before being entered on to the register of approved driving Instructors, you must fulfil certain legal requirements. These are….
• Hold a full UK or EEA unrestricted car driving licence
• Have held your licence for at least four years prior to entering the Register after qualifying
• Be able to read a number plate at a distance of 27.5m with glasses if normally worn
• Be a fit and proper person to undertake the driving instructor training and have your name entered on the Register
• You need to apply for a criminal record check as part of the driving instructor training process
• Not have more than six penalty points on your licence to undertake driving instructor training

• Diploma in driving Instruction (Dip. DI)
• Diamond Advanced Instructor
• Diamond Advanced Examiner
We will take you through all parts of the driving instructor exams with 1:1 training at a pace to suit you.
Our training costs
• Part 1 - £350 paid at course induction
• Part 2 - £400 paid at start of part 2 training
• Part 3 - £1200 (3 payments of £400)
Note: The training cost includes 58 hours of practical training along with all DSA recommended reading material, including DVD’s.

*What’s not included:
• Part 1 DSA exam fee - £90
• Part 2 DSA exam fee - £111
• Part 3 DSA exam fee - £111
• Extra training if required - £30 p/hr
• Registration fee to DSA - £300 upon qualifying and every 4 years thereafter.
