3 Hrs - £33 (for complete beginners)
This offer is available to persons who are complete beginners with no previous driving experience - included is FREE use of our on-line theory suite that requires you to have an email address and password to enroll. The full sum of £33 must be paid in full on or before the first lesson. If you cancel or re-schedule any lesson(s) without giving 48hrs notice to us, you will be charged for the lesson(s) excluding illness and/or other mitigating circumstances.
3 Hrs - £45 (for persons with previous driving experience)
This offer is available to persons who have previous driving experience - included is FREE use of our on-line theory test suite that requires you to have an email address and password to enroll. The full sum of £45 must be paid in full on or before the first lesson. If you cancel or re-schedule any lesson(s) without giving 48hrs notice to us, you will be charged for the lesson(s) excluding illness and/or other mitigating circumstances.
1.5 Hrs - £20 (Assessment)
This offer is available to persons who have taken a practical driving test and failed or require an assessment of their driving skills prior to an intensive/semi-intensive course of lessons or prior a DSA practical test. The sum of £20 must be paid in full on or before the assessment lesson. If you cancel this assessment lesson without giving 48hrs notice to us, you will be charged for this lesson(excluding illness and/or other mitigating circumstances).
DRIVING SCHOOL GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
• DOCUMENTS/HEALTH/LEGAL:All drivers must be in possession of a signed, current U.K. Full/Provisional Driving Licence or current Full foreign/International Driving Permit (issued abroad) valid only for twelve months from the date of entry to the U.K., for Group 'B' Cars on commencement of the training and be able to read a vehicle registration plate at the prescribed distance of 20.5 metres(67ft) with glasses/contact lenses if worn. Any medical condition(s) which are likely to affect the safe use/control of a motor vehicle must be made known to the school/Instructor immediately. If there is/are any legal reason(s) known that prevent you from driving a motor vehicle before commencing your lessons or during them, this must be made known to your school/Instructor immediately.
• INSURANCE: All fees include driver cover whilst driving the School vehicle (provided the driver has a current license to drive) and is accompanied by, or under the direction of a Driving Standards Agency A.D.I / P.D.I (Car) or on a Driving Test with a DSA Examiner(s).
• PAYMENTS: We accept payment by cash, although for payments of £50 and over we advise payment by any of the following means:-credit/debit card via phone or in person/ or via our web site www.learnatdiamond.com or by cheque supported by a cheque guarantee card made payable to 'Diamond Driving School'. Advance payment for lessons are accepted on the understanding that refunds will be given, except when 48 hours notice is not given for cancellations or re-scheduling (this excludes intensive or semi-intensive courses - see 'cancellations' below).
Intensive driving courses are subject to a non-refundable advance deposit equal to 10% of the full course fee which is payable at the time of booking. The full fee of an intensive course of lessons, minus the deposit paid, must be paid at least 14 days before the course start date.
• CANCELLATIONS BY YOU: The School requires a minimum of 48 hours notice if students wish to cancel or re-schedule a pre-booked lesson, otherwise the full lesson fee is payable - the conditions also apply to 'No student show for lesson' cancellations. If, in the view of the Instructor, the student is unfit to carry out the lesson safely; due to self-induced circumstances (e.g. Alcohol, Drugs or lack of sleep)a cancellation charge will apply. A minimum of 14 days notice is required if a student intends to cancel or re-schedule an intensive or semi-intensive driving course which is planned to take place over a short period, for example, 1-4 weeks total duration. The School reserve the right to charge the student an amount equal to the expected profit that would have been earned if the course had not been cancelled or re-scheduled - the following refund policy would apply; If you cancel the course within the 14 days of the course start date refunds will be given at 50%(between 13-8 days notice) and 30%(less than 7 days notice) of the balance remaining, plus a £20 administration fee.
• CANCELLATIONS BY US: While every care will be taken to ensure students receive training at the requested time, all bookings are made on the understanding that the School is not responsible for the postponement of training due to exceptional traffic conditions, adverse weather, mechanical breakdown of equipment or any other cause outside of our control.
• COURSEWORK MATERIAL: All question papers, handouts, books, computer software and relevant materials remain the property of our Diamond Driving School. A deposit of £10 is required for each item on loan (If any material is damaged/lost or not returned on request, a fee of £10.00 will be charged). Driving courses/lessons may involve working breaks away from the tuition vehicle to discuss progress and to look at lesson plans, vehicle safety checks, etc.
• THE DRIVING TEST: The school reserves the right to withhold the training vehicle if, in the Instructors opinion; the student has not reached the required standard. The student will be expected to pass at least one mock practical driving test before being allowed to use the school car for the DSA driving test. The school cannot be held responsible for test appointments being postponed or cancelled by the DSA or for students not taking the correct documents on the day of their test. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any light bulbs,tyres,electrical/mechanical failure(s), that could not have been foreseen before or during the DSA driving test. All bulbs/tyres,etc., will be checked with the candidate at the test centre prior to the DSA test.
• PERSONAL PROPERTY: The School accepts no liability for personal property that is left in any of our training vehicles.
• MOBILE PHONES: All students should ensure that mobile phones are switched off, prior to entering the tuition vehicle, for safety reasons. Due to recent changes in the law, our Instructors' will not use a mobile phone whilst the vehicle is moving on a driving lesson.
